I know it's been a difficult time for you recently. I don't know you super well just yet, but what little threading we've done together has been a delight. My muselist is ever at your disposal.

I think you're very clever, articulate, talented and creative. I admire your aspiration and I hope all of your big dreams will come true. I know you can make them happen, and we're all rooting for when you do, even if you have to take it one step at a time or even the occasional step backward along the way.

I don't know for sure if you're into such things, but I did a tarot reading for you to hopefully offer you some guidance and encouragement for the days ahead, and I'd like to share it with you. I did a basic Celtic Cross with a three-card Daath.

CARD 1 (the heart of the situation): Key 10: The Wheel of Fortune.
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Link with the universal flux; destiny; adaptability; karma/karmic lessons; universal law; proper conduct; good fortune; gain after trial; destiny with a beneficial outcome.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: Right now, it feels like you're in the midst of turmoil, that things are spinning beyond your control. But you're moving toward a better place, so trust in your luck.

CARD 2 (opposing forces and friction): Key 9: The Hermit.
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Inward journey; meditation; humility; virtues sought and found; self-knowledge; student teacher and teacher as student; caution; prudence; search for truth.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: With everything going on around you, you might find it hard to take moments for yourself. You might be tempted to be too hard on yourself. But it's OK, even important, to take a step back now and then, do a little soul-searching for what you really want and what you need to get there. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

CARD 3 (how the situation presents itself): Key 4: The Emperor.
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Wisdom through worldly experience; powerful creative energies; action as road to fulfillment; wisdom; self-discipline; authority; protection; self-control. Can also represent an older male guidance figure.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: It looks like, if you buckle down, work hard, show off your creative talents and be pro-active, you'll be well on your way to getting what you want.

CARD 4 (how the situation should be viewed): Key 3: The Empress
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Natural instincts blessed with fruitful attainment; involvement with life in a favorable and active way; the future indicates happiness; fulfillment through charity; unselfishness; abundance; fertility; creativity.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: You don't need to force it, because you already know exactly what you're doing by instinct, even if it doesn't seem that way mentally. Trust your gut. Your creativity and natural talent will get you to where you need to go. Use your talents to make the world a better place, and someone is sure to take notice.

CARD 5 (the past): Key 12: The Hanged Man
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Faith in one's own development; new and old beliefs put to the test; good intentions, despite unconventional behavior; sacrifice; suffering; suspension.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: You've been feeling stuck for a long time, felt like you've had to give up a lot of what you wanted, and it hurts. Maybe you've made some silly mistakes in the past. Things you thought were true turned out not to be. But, you've learned from this, it's made you stronger, and it's all behind you now.

CARD 6 (the imminent future): Seven of Swords
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: A card of intellectual lessons; insufficient planning; unwise decisions or a lack of perseverance mean failure; the card of an individual looking for the easy way out; a spy, betrayer or thief; unstable effort.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: OK, this looks like a scary card, I know, but think of it as a caution, rather than something guaranteed to happen. You're about to try something new, and it's entirely possible you might make mistakes or someone might try to undermine you. Don't rush things. Plan carefully. Do your homework. Make sure your ducks are all in a nice, tidy row. It might look bad, but, whatever you do, don't give up. Don't let a stumbling block or two keep you from achieving your goals. Learn from them, and move on.

CARD 7 (how you see yourself): Seven of Cups
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Illusory success; a card of deceptive, destructive fantasies; there is indulgence of dreams; prostitution of talents, lies and wishful thinking; the lesson is to face emotional reality.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: I know you're feeling hurt. Like you've sold out your real talents and potential and had to settle and you hate it. You're plagued by fantasies in your head, but instead of them being pleasant escapes, they just perpetuate the cycle of feeling like you're just not good enough, or that you'll never make it. But Ray, darling, remember what I said before about being too hard on yourself? This isn't a forever thing. You are talented and wonderful, and you will succeed, given time and effort. Look into your heart. You are loved. You are supported. People believe in you. Which leads us to...

CARD 8 (how others see you): Seven of Wands
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Valor; a card of strong action, strength and challenge; self-reliance is imperative.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: Every one of us looks at you and sees a brave, amazing person. You've been through a lot, but it's just tempered your steel. We believe in you, and want you to believe in yourself, because once you do, there will be no stopping you. You are powerful and dynamic, and can achieve whatever you set your mind to. You're a superheroine in the making, Ray, and we're all right here behind you.

CARD 9 (hopes and fears): Six of Pentacles
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Material success; a card denoting the adjustment of funds required to obtain substantial success and represents charity, generosity, gifts, helping hands and shared prosperity.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: You're worried about the costs of doing things, that you'll have to rely on the goodwill of others for a while. And that might be true, but people want to help you, Ray. And, once you're settled into a good job, you'll do just fine, and you'll be able to repay those who helped you, and maybe pay it forward too.

CARD 10 (final outcome): Key 19: The Sun
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Obstacles surmounted; opposites in harmony; joy; happiness; attainment; blessings.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: Good things are coming to you, Ray. You'll have to work hard to achieve them, you might experience a setback or two along the way and need others to give you a helping hand, but you will make it. And it's going to be wonderful when you get there. ♥

THE DA'ATH:
WHAT IS IT? The Da'ath pack can represent a lot of different things. Sometimes, it provides additional clarity to the reading. Often it shows external forces or people to be aware of, for good or ill. They often don't directly impact the situation, but you need to know about them.

DA'ATH CARD 1: Key 18: The Moon
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Hidden changes; dreams and intuitions of a foreboding nature; lower astral traveler; psychic development; secrets guarded within the recesses of the soul; deception.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: Remember above where I told you to trust your gut, and watch out for someone trying to undermine you? This is reinforcing that. If someone does try to sabotage you, it's going to probably be subtle, like changing things on you and then "forgetting" to tell you, so be sharp. If something feels wrong, it probably is. Be alert and aware, and don't take anyone's bullshit.

DA'ATH CARD 2: Eight of Cups
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: Abandoned success; the need for emotional regeneration; dissatisfaction over gains and abandonment of the old for the new; disappointment with the results of efforts or with the way children have turned out may be indicated.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: You might be feeling like what you have done just isn't good enough. You might be worried that your family (or other authority figures) might view you as a failure. You'll be tempted to just say, "Fuck it all" and give up. Ray, don't give up. But, it is 100% okay to just cut your ties with all the bullshit and all the naysaying and just leave that junk behind you. Go ahead and fuck that. You don't need it. Don't let doubt get you down, whether it's your own or someone else's.

DA'ATH CARD 3: Page of Pentacles
WHAT THE CARD MEANS: This signifies a solemn and scholarly individual; a hard worker; the situation requires knowledge or research; new opinions and ideas manifest.
HOW I SEE IT FOR YOU: Once again, hard work, and a reminder to do your homework. Make sure you know exactly what you need to do. Ask for help--there might be someone who can give you guidance. You might realize something you never knew before, or find a better way to do it than how you thought. Be diligent, dot your i's and cross your t's, and it will pay off.

I'm seeing a lot of Major Arcana in this reading, which means a lot of things are going to seem like they're beyond your control or power to deal with, and, in fact, a lot of them are. But your ultimate success comes down to you. You've got the tools and skills at hand, so use them. You're going to do great. I know you will.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. :)

You're future is bright, Ray. We all want to see you succeed. We have faith in you. ♥
